"Accept Dance"

Happy Thursday!

Today I am moved to help you find acceptance. Yet, being me I have to add the play on words….find your Accept Dance.
The main reason I started this blog is to address this issue. “Be you.”  I feel so strongly about this. Mainly, there has to be a shift in perception toward how you talk to yourself with love and how to talk to those you may not agree with or understand. Do it with tolerance and respect, otherwise known as love, always. A shift toward acceptance to self and other beings on the planet is a must. Here are a few tips to help.
  • Breathe. Give it time, till you are ready. If you feel bad with self or interact with someone you are not comfortable with, time is needed to respond in a healthy productive way. Anger goes nowhere but out like a spray hose. Anger and stress inward kills cells.
  • “Cut me cut you both the blood is red.” Sung by my mentor and muse Prince Rogers Nelson, his words ring true.  We all bleed the same. Care enough about yourself and another to see everyone was made perfect just as they are. Do not assume you have the power of God or Spirit’s eyes to know who was formed to perfection. Are you as beautiful as a Tiger and is a fly as beautiful as you? We are all the same in importance.
  • Keep boundaries. Listen to your heart. If you need to walk away do it, just be respectful to self and others. Yet, try new things. Learn.
  • Have a standard of being. Again you are here for a reason, just like the tiger, just like the fly. Even the man who dresses in drag and even the man as president in the white house currently. Remember this when you are not being true to self. Don’t question it, just live, give love and dance as much as possible! You may learn something new.
I found a new HBO series called We’re Here.” It says so much, I hope you watch it.

I love to write, laugh, be weird, but hate to cook and be defined.

The blog was created after feedback from a friend, given my past work counseling individuals of every age, I could offer weekly reminders to honor one's unique "squiggly" self.
